My fave breakfast place! Great quality. Diner vibe. Authentic. Traditional. Delicious.
Tiny little gem with good diner style food. No decaf, the old fashioned diner way.
Amazing mom and pop style diner with classic diner fare like all day breakfast and open face sandwiches. Nice small location just off of Spadina and tucked away, with great service, but not a lot of space to sit in, so you might have to do take out around busy times like lunch. Go for the breakfast, it's Delicious.
This is my hidden gem breakfast spot in Toronto. Everytime I come to town I always stop for breakfast. Small and cozy spot, Amazing staff, food is unbelievable. It is like eating at your mom/grandma's house for breakfast. Highly recommended.
I love their breakfasts and lunches. The toasted western, and peameal bacon are my favouries for breakfast and they will do a fair bit of customization if you want to add mushrooms or fried tomatoes or omit anything. For lunch I recommend the roast beef or turkey dinner.Home style flavours and generous portions at very reasonable prices. The staff is also very good. I have nothing bad to say about this place - it’s a great diner if you’re into “open kitchen†style restaurants.
I love breakfast, and I especially love it here. It simply smacks of a great little diner, but the way a diner should be...a bit gritty and with a cook on the grill in front of you, concerned about making you a great meal, fast. Breakfast for two, plus tip, for $20. Where else do you get four plump juicy sausages and three eggs, with potatoes, toast and coffee for that price? Maybe six booths along with counter seating, so not big on space. It was however big on value and quality. The door says opens at 07:00, but we walked in and were greeted, seated and served at 06:45. Quality, price, service and atmosphere...loved it all.
First time here. Very small diner located on a small side street downtown. There's only stool seating at the bar and 4 tables, enough seating for exactly 24. Food is pretty standard diner fare nothing stood out but came hot plus they have deli meats. Staff was friendly enough, service efficient. I would return if I'm in the area and in need of some good old diner food and definitely recommend to those looking for a diner that does breakfast and lunch. Pro tip: you can hang your jackets at the very back up the stairs, same place as where the washrooms are.
Love this place! Great diner eats, large portions and they have delicious daily specials like shepards pie and turkey dinner. Smoke meat sandwich ftw.
This gem of a little diner has been around for over 50 years. While the area has evolved from the clothing and textile manufacturing district to a bustling tech hub with sparkling brand new condos sprouting around it, and skyrocketing rents to match, this place has managed to survive while others have come and gone. They've even stepped into the world of online ordering and seem to be thriving. Kudos to the owners!
Went here couple years back and found it again. The warm welcome and humble environment brought us back for a nice comfortable breakfast. Whichever menu you chooses, it won't disappoint. Their friendly staff and swift service deserve a five star!
Stop in to have breakfast and was just a random finding but really enjoyed the food. Would highly recommend the French toast!
A great little spot. Breakfast or lunch, it's good! Wish they were open a bit later.
Interesting location with an old school feel and diner menu. Limited seating. Daily special was bacon wrapped meatloaf.
Great breakfast diner. If you're looking for a greasy spoon, this is it. Great service.
The bacon and eggs here are amazing but today I went for the pastrami sandwich, fries with gravy . . . It was all amazing ! Wish I could handle eating two sandwiches!! Prices are also great here. Nap time 😄
Meal was good. Portion size was good. Service was incredibly fast and friendly. Price was the only downside.
Fantastic little gem! Quick friendly service. Love the retro feel seats about 26. You can place an order and have it ready for pick up in less then ten minutes. Huge portion size. Great prices. Family oriented. Love the receipt is old fashion. Makes me feel like time has stop and you can just sit and forget the hustle and bustle beyond the front doors. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
Good place for breakfast.Quantity is huge in the Torontonian standard. The old lady speaks softly and can be hard to understand if the environment is noisy. When ready to pay, grab the bill on the table and walk to the cashier machine.
Solid breakfasts and lunches. Comfort food available until mid afternoon. Reasonably priced. Very friendly!
Cozy place and Yummy breakfast for reasonable price
Lovely little hole in the wall located in the back streets of downtown Toronto! Super nice and relatable staff, with great breakfast and even greater coffee. Went twice on my short trip!
Was very yummy and cheap. We ordered Montreal smoked meat and Pastrami. I would definitely be eating their again.
Great food, awful service. Ordered food, waitress snapped at us and acted as if we couldn’t ask questions. Food was great though.
Excellent service, very transparent kitchen, and good atmosphere. It's a small eatery so consider takeout. The hamburger I ordered was made quickly and was tasty.
Great breakfast venue. Enormous portions, standard order is 3 eggs! All fresh cooked and served with quick friendly service. Can't wait to return next time for lunch.
Great little place, right downtown... Western omelette had delicious chunks of ham and onion... Homemade home fries also super... You have to try it!
